Hanna Hirsch - En väg av ljus, en vägg av brus

At long last, new music from Swedish punk/powerpop act Hanna Hirsch. Pre-order the band's new 12" EP "Gå hem över himlen" here: http://www.adagio830.de/news/hanna-hirsch-pre-order-starts-today/

New Hanna Hirsch coming soon

Apparently the long-awaited new Hanna Hirsch LP "Gå hem över himlen" is finally back from being mastered and has sent to press which, assuming all goes well, will mean that it will be out by the end of the year.

Hanna Hirsch - Dödslandet

Hanna Hirsch has posted the new track "Dödslandet" to myspace: http://www.myspace.com/hannahirsch
Said song is a cover of "Death country" by Gabe Hart of Starvations/Jail Weddings, as done på Svenska. Expect to see it on their next release which may end up being a split with an as-yet-unnamed act. It might also their swansong, but nothing's confirmed yet.

Hanna Hirsch album to be available in two obsolescent formats

Hanna Hirsch's excellent "Tala svart" album will soon reissued in two new formats. First off, German label Adagio 830 will be doing an LP version and it should be sent off for pressing next week. Secondly, Swedish cassette label Klorofyll Kassetter will be doing a tape with an exclusive side B full of covers, remixes and other stuff performed by their friends Anna Järvinen, Sewer Election, Street Drinkers, Martin Herterich, Wood Salad and Nattskiftet totalling some 60 minutes of music (the original album is just barely over 30). No official release date yet for either, but expect them both sometime in May.

Diskret Förlag to release 7" from Monument

How many bands are there called Monument? I'm not sure, but the Swedish new-wave/synth version of that band will be releasing a 7" on Diskret Förlag (Hanna Hirsch) called "Feel failure" in May.

MP3: Hanna Hirsch - Ingen kommer sakna oss

This song is proof positive that great music transcends language barriers and really, that's one of the main reasons I started this damn site. Hanna Hirsch, the self-described "awkward Buzzcocks", understand that strong melodies win out about all, whether you understand what they're saying or not. For the record, Google Translate tells me it's "No one will miss us", but like I said, you don't need to know. Especially since it's not true. I file it right next to Ebba Grön, Håkan Hellström; two other artists I love to sing along with in a pathetic, phoenetic fashion.
Hopefully people won't ignore this like they did with Diskret Förlag's previous release "Har du hört den förut? 29 Svenska artister tolkar Förmögenhet". That's another great album that should appeal to most everyone, whether you know Swedish or not.

Samples are now posted from the new Hanna Hirsch album "Tala svart", out now on Diskret Förlag/Release the Bats: http://www.diskretforlag.com/hannahirsch.html
The self-described "awkward Buzzcocks" help bridge the gap between twee and (pop-)punk -- very recommended!

Swedish pop/punk act Hanna Hirsch is now streaming four new tracks at myspace off their forthcoming album "Tala svart": http://www.myspace.com/hannahirsch
The band also reports that they recorded another four new tracks on October 25, but has no plans for them as of yet.
