Gbg-based label Release the Bats (see our recent interview) has finally released the long-awaited Cure tribute "The shameless kiss of vanity III" on limited edition cassette (250 copies). Said comp featuring 8 bands such as Cut City and The Je Ne Sais Quoi covering the entirety of The Cure's classic "Pornography" album from start to finish. Unfortunately, the cassette dub came out a bit noisy, so the label is throwing in CDR copies with all orders which will include a few tracks from parts I and II. Female-fronted Swedish punk act Hanna Hirsch has posted a couple new rough mix tracks on myspace from their forthcoming split 7": http://www.myspace.com/hannahirsch

Swedish punks Förmögenhet (ex-Hanna Hirsch) haven't been around very long - they have a 7" and have performed live once, but they're already working on compiling a tribute album. Not everyone is 100% confirmed yet, but names so far include Suis La Lune, Viktor Sjöberg and Monorail. More details when I get 'em, otherwise expect a springtime release.

Hanna Hirsch will be doing a split 7" with Linköping-based act Young Fit Males this coming fall. They'll also be doing another split with an as-yet-unnamed act from LA on the label Sycophanticide too. As for the band's anticipated full-length, it's still on track for a spring 2008 release.

Hanna Hirsch's debut full-length "Hur det är" will be released by Wasted Sounds in early 2008.

Hanna Hirsch will be releasing a 7" entitled "Radiance kills" on Cage Match Federation this spring.
