Other bands contributing are Hell on Wheels ("The Holiday Song"), Hamell on Trial, Nathan Larson (ex-Shudder to Think), David Fridlund (David & the Citizens) with Sara Culler, Doktor Kosmos and more.

Don't forget this weekend's Sunday show at Café String with Hell on Wheels, The Virtues and Firefox!

Some small updates for the last few For the Record shows: first up, Firefox has been added to the bill for the Hell on Wheels/Virtues date. Tiger Lou's wife fronts that band and they have mp3s on their website. It's also finally been confirmed that Wan Light will be one of the bands playing the Labrador Records showcase day. One more act will be added, but it's still not confirmed yet.

Hell on Wheels has recorded a cover of "The Holiday Song" by The Pixies for inclusion on an upcoming tribute comp. Other bands set to appear on the comp include Hamell on Trial, Nathan Larson and Doktor Kosmos.

Hell on Wheels will release their most recent album "Oh my god! What have I done?" in Japan on July 21 via Snow man/Wood records. They'll also be flying over there to play Shibuya O-Nest in Tokyo on September 9.

The release date is still unconfirmed. And in other news, the band is taking a trip down to Brazil in just a few dates! Here's their full schedule:

Apparently Rickard from Hell on Wheels was originally set to do that duet on the new David & the Citizens "Big Chill" EP instead of Mattias Alkberg from Bear Quartet. Who knew? There's a new festival in Fagersta, Sweden on May 22 with Differnet, Sophie Rimheden, Jens Lekman, The Legends, Paris, The Kid, Slagsmålsklubben and Hell On Wheels.
