Today it is my great honor and privilege to bring you and exclusive mp3 of the brand new Isolation Years single "Nurse hands". The single will be officially released on November 24 via NONS/Network Entertainment Group and will be accompanied by a video from director Andreas Nilsson of the band Silverbullit. Check out the artwork here. As mentioned before, the new full-length album is still being mixed and should be out in February. IY has long been one of my favorite bands, so I am obviously very excited to bring you this new song. Huge thanks to everyone behind-the-scenes who made this possible! Don't forget, IY is also touring Scandinavia later this month with the UK's Grand Drive:

11/24 - KB, Malmö
11/25 - Herrgår'n, Linköping
11/26 - Sticky Fingers, Göteborg
11/27 - Nalen, Stockholm
11/28 - Klubb Söndag @ Strömpis, Örebro

Speaking of the aforementioned Silverbullit, their new track from the Sonic Magazine "Sonically Speaking Vol. 19" comp is absolutely amazing. Can't wait to hear the new album.

Isolation Years will soon be releasing a brand new single entitled "Nurse Hands" on November 24, the first from what will be the group's eagerly awaited third album. A video is in production with director Andreas from Silverbullit who also did worked on clips for TSOOL and The Knife. The still-untitled full-length has a tentative release date set for February next year, but they're still busy mixing it, so anything could happen. Look for samples and new press pics and so forth soon. Otherwise the guys will be hitting the road in November for a few dates around Sweden alongside Grand Drive from the UK. Dates:

11/24 - KB, Malmö
11/25 - Herrgår'n, Linköping
11/26 - Sticky Fingers, Göteborg
11/27 - Nalen, Stockholm
11/28 - Klubb Söndag @ Strömpis, Örebro

Silverbullit and Dreamboy have been added to Sweden's Rookie Festival lineup.

Push Music Group Sweden has purchased the record label MNW, as well as s56. Cripes! Whether or not all current bands on these label's rosters will stay remains to be seen, but I suspect that blood will be shed. Will somebody just release that new Silverbullit record already? Division of Laura Lee - Das Not Compute (Burning Heart/Epitaph)
After the break-through release of "Black City", I'm glad to report that DoLL have managed to craft a more-than-worthy follow-up. They enlisted the production assistance of Kalle from The Soundtrack of Our Lives and it paid off. His sonic influence is obvious and goes beyond the requisite guest appearances from fellow TSOOL members Mattias Bärjed and Martin Hederos. It sounds like the band took a lot of time experiment with different tones and the end result is a strongly varied sonic palette. Taking cues from bands like Silverbullit, "Das Not Compute" also cranks up the fuzz-factor to 10 and layers it on thick. There's a couple tracks here and there that don't really go anywhere, but the stuff's that's good (such as the single "Dirty Love" and the epic "Breathe Breathe") more than makes up for it.

"We're pleased to announce that this will be considered our most epic, majestic, somber, evil and grimmest release to date, containing absolutely everything we're known for — the never-ending presence of atmosphere, diversity and variety! In other words, it's huge! Darkness is once again upon us!"

From Rolling Stone concerning this year's SXSW fest:

Best Swedish Band: The Soundtrack of Our Lives beat Citizen Bird [Silverbullit] here in 2002, but this year it was all about the ladies. We give the nod to Maria Andersson and her hard-rockin' Sahara Hotnights over Maja Ivarsson and the New Wave sounds of the Sounds. The Hives' Howlin' Pelle Almqvist concurs -- he's dating Maria.
