Stina Nordenstam
The world is saved
V2

So, she’s back again, the first lady of secrecy. Obviously, the collected Swedish rockcritics – which are just as trustworthy as, say, Fox News - have hyped this album beyond belief, but is it really that good? Well, let’s put it this way – if there’d be any justice in this world and bla bla bla this album would go number 1 all over the fucking world. Eleven perfect pop songs for your night in. And the record is worth its cost for the song "The end of a love affair" alone.

Sorry about the downtime. My webserver totally bit the dust. I spent over eight hours going back and forth with customer support yesterday trying to tell them what the problem was until they finally listened to me. Anyhow, assuming you're reading this now, things should be getting back to normal. I was assured they were going to restore the site from a backup that was less than 24 hours old, but they lied. If you see anything acting funny, please let me know. I can barely express how angry I am about this. Please accept the gift of a brand new Stina Nordenstam mp3 to make up for my absence.

Starting on September 15, official Stina Nordenstam website Seekyoudanger will begin streaming tracks from the new album "The world is saved" starting with the first single "Get on with your life" which comes out the same day. A video for said single will be shot in Stockholm on September 12.

Okay, a couple site/label related items...

First off, KVLR has been sent out to US/Canadian college radio and has been getting added to a number of playlists. Please call or email your local station and request them! Some of places I've got confirmations for adds include WRGW in Washington DC, UIC Radio Chicago, WFRD at Dartmouth, CHRW at the University of Western Ontario, WRFL at the University of Kentucky, WRIU in Rhode Island and WMBR in Cambridge, MA. Hopefully this is just the beginning.

Next, let me remind y'all that all mailorder purchases will include free promo singles and comps by way of Startracks and V2. You buy something, you get something extra for free. How cool is that?

And lastly, you'll be happy to see that the last two tracks from that live Stina Nordenstam set have been added. Enjoy! Still very excited to hear the new record.

Once upon a time, Stina Nordenstam used to reluctanty play live. Those days are long gone, but in anticipation of her upcoming new album I've posted a couple bootleg tracks from way, way back in 1991. The sound quality isn't perfect and the between song banter is decidedly downbeat, but the music, as always, is great. First half of the set is up now, the rest will come next week or something.

Pluxus has officially confirmed that they are doing a remix for the b-side of the new Stina Nordenstam single "Get On With Your Life" which comes out in August/September. They say the piece is "a fine electronic piece which shows the direction Pluxus is working in at this time."

According to the ilx rumor mill, the first single for the new Stina Nordenstam album will be "Get On With Your Life" and Pluxus will be doing a remix for the b-side.

Stina Nordenstam will finally release her new album "The world is saved" on October 11 via V2. Can't wait!
