Johan Heltne working on a new album

Johan Heltne, one of my favorite artists of year's past, reports that he has started work on his next album. The working title: "Låt de döda begrava sina döda"/"Let the dead bury their own dead". As for the music, he says the first bits that have been recorded can be described as "kristet funkiga" while the overriding concept is "party music for adult singles."

Witchcraft - It's not because of you / Ghosts house

Somehow I've been snoozing on the fact that new Witchcraft tracks are now online. Seems a bit more polished/modern sounding than what's come before, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, though I reserve the right to change my opinion on that later.

Switchblade - Movement II

Head to The Sleeping Shaman to preview a full-length track off the upcoming Switchblade LP: http://www.thesleepingshaman.com/news/switchblade-premier-track-movement-ii-from-new-self-titled-album/
The new record is much more riff-oriented than the last one, almost kinda stoner-metal in a way, but still with plenty of doom.

Sudakistan - El movimiento (Teenhäze edit)

Latino garage punk from Sweden? Sure, why not? Actually quite a bit heavier than you might expect.

Adolf Filter - Inner walls (video)

Old track, new video, still excellent minimalist dark synthpop.

New from Swedish pop/jazz act Thus:Owls. Look for the band's next album to be released on October 2.

Where's the harm in dreams now realized?

Believe it or not, the final Cut City album "Where's the harm in dreams disarmed" actually now exists in physical vinyl form and is available for ordering: http://cutcity.bigcartel.com/product/cut-city-where-s-the-harm-in-dreams-disarmed
It's been a long time coming, but for an album this good, it's well worth it.

Switchblade, the coffee

Bands with their own wine or beer is so passé, now it's time to move on to another beverage: coffee. And Switchblade is leading the way, as you can read here. The band's new coffee blend, concocted together with folks from Stockholm Roast, will come with a mug as part of a pre-order package for the band's upcoming LP.

Nocturnal - Until the morning light (video)

I posted the new Nocturnal track last night, now PSL has the premiere of the video: http://blogg.svt.se/psl/2012/08/21/premiar-nocturnal-until-the-morning-light/
Into it!
