MyFriends: Agent Side Grinder, Breum, Iiwanajulma, Northern Fields, Pintandwefall

The great thing about myspace is that there's a million great bands out there, waiting to be discovered. The bad thing about myspace is that you gotta wade through millions more to find 'em. In this new (semi-regular?) series, I aim to make life easier by rounding up a small selection of my own personal myspace favorites. Enjoy!

Agent Side Grinder
SOUNDS LIKE: Industrial music, when done right, should make you imagine vast decaying urban wastelands. All the better if it's done with outdated analog equipment as opposed to computers.
HIGHLIGHTS: Ricocheting memories, Me me and me

Breum
SOUNDS LIKE: Electronic pop with heart and soul; recommended especially for fans of artists like Familjen. Apparently they recently signed with ArtPeople and will have a new album out soon.
HIGHLIGHTS: Langt vaekwip, SOS i sommer

Iiwanajulma
SOUNDS LIKE: Moody, melancholic rock that often manages to be heavy even without relying on electric guitars. Like a mix of Amorphis and Anathema. For once, I think I've found a band that does better when not indulging in straight-up metal.
HIGHLIGHTS: Rakkaani, Sitä ei ole mitä en näe

Northern Fields
SOUNDS LIKE: Quality indierock with strong female vocals. Not cutesy enough to be called twee, but more than pretty enough to appeal to all kinds of pop fans.
HIGHLIGHTS: Never take the beauty, Summer breeze

Pintandwefall
SOUNDS LIKE: Spunky girl-punk played with unbridled energy and infectious spirit.
HIGHLIGHTS: All of 'em are great, but "Somewhere I'd be worshiped" takes the cake
