The Ark, the magazine

The Ark will be releasing a 100-page magazine in conjunction with their new album "In full regalia": http://blog.thearkworld.com/2010/03/29/in-full-regalia-10-nya-latar-och-100-ark/
The publication will come with the CD and will include info and photos from the making of the album along with the band's full history.

Oh No Ono begets new label

Aske Zidore and Kristoffer Rom of Danish indie act Oh No Ono have launched a new record label called to handle all of the various sideprojects and other extracurricular activities the guys are involved with. First up from the label in May will be an EP from Kirsten & Marie, yet another Scandinavian twin sister duo which was produced by Aske, to be followed by new releases from 4 Guys From The Future, Treefight for Sunlight and Thulebasen.

Ja Ja Ja metal showcase set for April

P2Strom, the iPhone app + more

Håkan Lidbo and his associated at Swedish Radio electronic music program P2 Ström have created a new music-making iPhone app called "P2Strom" that lets friends jam together, choosing different instruments and so on. See/hear it in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpwG4Zy6lf8
Even better, when you complete your track you can upload it to the Ström Soundcloud channel and if they like it, they will play it on the program.
In other Ström-related news, the latest theme of the current season is "Music from the Future" so they'll be playing a new track every week featuring one artist's interpretation of the subject which will then be compiled for a CD release at the season's conclusion.
