It should be amazing, I'm sure. As for later on, they'll release the debut album "Read between the lines at all times" from postrock/minimalist/nolse act Scraps of Tape in August and records from Once We Were and September Malevolence in the fall. More details when I get them.

Swedish 'melancholy post-rock' band Paatos will release their new Steven Wilson-produced (Porcupine Tree) album "Kallocain" on June 8 in the US via InsideOut Records. The UK gets the album a day earlier through SPV. The label says the band will appeal to fans of acts like Sigur Ros and the group cites influences from other groups like Bjork, King Crimson and Portishead. There will be a special free record release show on May 26 at Lydmar Hotel in Stockholm. (alerted via DJ Martian)

From Rolling Stone concerning this year's SXSW fest:

Best Swedish Band: The Soundtrack of Our Lives beat Citizen Bird [Silverbullit] here in 2002, but this year it was all about the ladies. We give the nod to Maria Andersson and her hard-rockin' Sahara Hotnights over Maja Ivarsson and the New Wave sounds of the Sounds. The Hives' Howlin' Pelle Almqvist concurs -- he's dating Maria.
