Excellent Malmö-based indie act Pixie Carnation reports that they have finished recording their debut full-length and are now currently mixing/mastering at Svenska Grammofon with Kalle Gustafsson Jerneholm (TSOOL). There's no confirmed title or label yet, but the album will contain 11 tracks, including 4 re-recorded versions of songs from the group's "Fresh poems" EP, and it should be out sometime early next year.

In other news, the band's self-titled debut EP will be getting a much-needed 12" vinyl release on November 29 as well, via German label in an edition of 500 copies, 150 on white.
This has been a loooong time coming: famed engineer/producer Linus Larsson (Peter Bjorn and John, Tobias Fröberg, Theresa Andersson etc.) and artist John Roger Olsson (The Grand Opening, Hearts No Static) recorded the album "Leve hogrän" together back in the fall of 2007 and it will now finally be released as a digital download via on October 11.
