Andreas Kleerup has started a band called Me and My Army, apparently borrowing quite a few members from Timo Räisänen. The full lineup: Patrik Herrström (Timo Räisänen, C.Aarmé), Joel Hammad Magnusson (Timo Räisänen, Roenik), Niels Nankler (Timo Räisänen, Roenik) and Skärgårds-John (Jarla?).
Swedish noiserockers EL-SD have recruited Fredrik Degerman aka Degis of The Sound O.E as their new guitarist. He will make his live debut with the band on May 5 at Lilla Hotellbaren in Stockholm where they will be playing with like-minded fellows Traktor.
The Howard Way, a long-running Americana act from Umeå, Sweden featuring Pelle Henricsson of the famed Tonteknik Studios on drums (he's probably recorded at least a dozen stone-cold classic Swedish records in your collection -- Fireside, Ray Wonder, Refused, Komeda, Starmarket, uh... pretty much every significant Norrland act and then some), will finally release their debut album "Never mind the country" on May 5 via Rootsy. Danish indie act The William Blakes have confirmed that their new album "The way of the warrior", produced by Jon Schumann (Kent, Mew, Kashmir), will be released on September 13.
Psykakuten is the name of a new project featuring Karolina Stenström of Steso Songs and guitarist Henrik Svensson from Moneybrother/Doktor Kosmos/Hets!/etc. Look for their debut single "If I could love I would" to be released via their own label on May 5 with the self-titled album to follow on June 23. Danish act Emily and The Orgasm Addicts report that they have recorded a new album and are currently shopping around for a label to release it as their current home, , is apparently shutting down.
Swedish råpunks Giftgasattack are now up at myspace with two new tracks that will be appearing on their upcoming 12" "Noise hero", due out via "in a few months." If you're into harsh noisepunk, you can't do much better than this.

Swedish shoegazers Sad Day for Puppets will release their new album "Pale silver and shiny gold" this coming fall. In the meantime, they'll be playing a few dates around Scandinavia with A Place to Bury Stangers and Editors at the end of April/early May.
