Miasmal to release new 7" in March, more

Swedish death metal act Miasmal will be releasing their new self-titled 2-song 7" in March via and . 500 copies, 400 on black and 100 on red. They'll also be rereleasing their 2008 demo tape to coincide with the new material in a short run of 150 copies and then later on, in summer/fall, will be doing a CD with all of the tracks compiled together.

Kning Disk presents The Göteborg String Theory

has announced they will be putting out a 2CD/2LP record from The Göteborg String Theory, an all-star collaboration of German classical composers and some of Göteborg, Sweden's finest musicians. Grande Roses to record new EP

After releasing a mere two EPs in three years, Grande Roses says that they will (miraculously) be going back into the studio this coming weekend to record yet another which they may even end up releasing less than a year after their last one. Amazing!

Merit Hemmingson on the comeback

I never covered supposed hype Swedish act Summer Camp because I didn't think they were very good or even remotely interesting; now I feel extra vindicated because they're not even Swedish.

Progress signs Spark!

has announced the signing of Swedish EBM duo Spark! and will be releasing a new EP for the group in the near future with an album to follow in summer.

The band has just finished a new album with producers Kåto Ådland (Sondre Lerche) and Erlend Øye (Kings of Convenience, this is his first producer credit) which will be released via Erlend/The Whitest Boy Alive's label "Bubbles" sometime later this year. They will also be premiering much of the new material at their upcoming by:Larm live appearances where hopefully it'll sound much better than the tepid mush that is on display in that video.

Boomhauer say goodbye

Finnish act Boomhauer will play their final show on April 7 at TVO in Turku. They say: "Everything comes to end and now it was a good time for the band to quit before things got ugly, tired and jaded and before we lost our friendship or the good memories about the band. So it's all good." Makes sense to me!
