New noise from Homemade Records

Noise-friendly Norwegian DIY label (Mindy Misty, Izakaya Heartbeat) will be releasing Øystein Kapperud's debut album "311/Amnesia" on November 4 as a double-LP, CD and/or digital download. The label has also announced the signing of noiserock act Burning Motherfuckers and will be releasing their debut EP in early 2012.

Einherjer demo to get vinyl reissue via The Crypt

will be pressing up Norwegian viking metal act Einherjer's excellent debut "Aurora Borealis" on vinyl for the first time ever. No idea exactly when it'll be out, but I'll try to keep you posted.

"Ta det lugnt" to get 3x12" reissue

is doing a 3x12" reissue of Dungen's 2004 breakout album "Ta det lugnt". The original LP apparently was incorrectly mastered from the digital and not the analog source material, so the sound quality was not up to par -- not so with this new edition which sounds like it was originally intended, if not better. 1000 copies, includes a poster.

The Movements announce new split 10", French tour

Swedish rockers The Movements willb e doing a split 10" with French act The Angry Dead Pirates via in early 2012 and will also be heading over there for a tour in April. Dates/details to be confirmed.

Svart unveils a new onslaught of vinyl

has announced the signing of Finnish occult rockers Jess and the Ancient Ones and will be releasing their debut 7" on October 26 with a full-length LP to follow next year.

Svart will also release the new Fleshpress album "Acid mouth strangulation", their fifth overall, on the same date. In a similar vein, look for the new album "Holy testament I" from like-minded black/doom-metal act Sink which will be unleashed in 2012. Preview that one below:

Plastic Horse confirm debut EP

Danish band Plastic Horse will release their debut EP "Real doesn't exist" on November 9 via , the label of fellow Danish artist Marie Frank. The band is fronted by J.S. Knudsen, a trained social anthropologist, who says that the music contained therein is "based on ethnographic studies of the effect of technology, religion and power have on human relations" and thus is "implicitly political." The music doesn't live up to such bold proclamations to my ears, but I can't fault them for trying.

Egil Olsen to release live album, plus vinyl

Egil will also be releasing his most recent studio album "Keep movin - keep dreamin'" on vinyl that same day, along with his solo debut "I am a singer/songwriter", making his entire discography finally all available on wax.

Darkthrone demos to get vinyl reissue

is compiling Darkthrone's first four early demos from the years 1988-1989 ("Land of frost", "A new dimension", "Thulcandra") and will be releasing them as a restored/remastered 2LP set under the title "Sempiternal past". The official release date is November 14.

FInal Cut City to get vinyl treatment in December

Swedish post-punks Cut City have announced that their fantastic swansong album "Where's the harm in dreams disarmed?" will be getting a proper vinyl release on December 2 via //. As promised, anyone who purchased the digital version will receive a discount on the physical edition, should they want one. As for everyone else who appreciates good music, I'll be sure to post details when preorder info is available.
