PopMatters.com has posted a great, well-written review of Junior Senior. One of the great things they mention is how the length of the record, while short, is just right. I'd even do away with the bonus tracks - an album that sugary and fun doesn't need to be longer than 30 minutes. Heck, most records don't need to be longer than 30 minutes. Okay, rant over. And in another quip of a review today, Kingblind calls the album "pure, unadulterated joy. People who don't like this must hate animals or some shit."

Junior Senior will be doing a record signing in SF at the Tower Records ar Market and Noe on September 6 at 1pm. They also posted a couple new tour dates to their website, so head on over to check 'em out.

It seems that the Koch International release of Entombed's new album "Inferno" was premature. The label received it from Music for Nations with the understanding that it was good to go, but went ahead without letting the band know, and also without having a signed contract. Anyhow, it's been pulled and will see a 'proper' release on Threeman/Century Media sometime early next year. What a mess. In related news, Entombed's personal label Threeman will get the vinyl releases of the band's last three albums "Uprising", "Morning Star" and "Inferno" later this month. The labels other planned releases are as follows:

The Project Hate MCMXCIX - "Hate, Dominate, Congregate, Eliminate" out August 25
Alpha Saphari (formerly known as Washoe) - currently recording album , tentative title is "Commercial Suicide"

Danish dance sensation Junior Senior will be on Regis and Kelly on Monday. Check local listings for channel and airtime.

Monotone Records reports that Daniel Loefgren is just about to sign with Tenor Records and he's already started recording his debut album for the label "In Where Cold Hands Might Separate Us". Daniel will still continue to release records with Monotone, too. Another Monotone band moving on is In Memory of Me who will be working with Lawnchair Records on their next release, a split CD with Common Effect from the US.

Cdoass should probably considering renewing their domain name before some unscrupulous person steals it.

The Sounds recently did a webchat over at MTVE.com. Here's the transcript.

"Behind the Music - Profiting from sound: A systems approach to the Dynamics of the Nordic Music Industry" is the title of a comprehensive report on the Scandinavian music scene that offers quite a bit of insight into the workings of the biz.
