Top 10s for 2007: Mattias Alkberg (The Bear Quartet/MABD)
I worried a bit earlier this fall if I was on the verge of insanity. I couldn't stop listening to black metal, especially as performed by torturers and murderers. But then it dawned on me that I'd been listening to "good" music as well. So here goes:
01. Spiritual music (Black Metal [Gahhlskagg, Trelldom, Emperor, Svartkraft, Darkthrone], Roots Reggae [Jah Stitch, Dillinger, Dr Alimantado], Cosmic Jazz [Pharoah Sanders, Alice Coltrane, John Coltrane, Miles])
The jury's still out on the insanity part, though.
02. Old TV Shows: Heimat 2, Fanny and Alexander, Freaks and Geeks, Prime Suspect, The Lakes etc
03. UFC on Swedish TV
04. Writing songs
05. Playing shows
06. Starting up a place with friends were we can play guitar and write stuff at all hours.
07. Some other people that released records this year, such as Einstürzende Neubauten, Killa Priest, R-Kelly, Entombed, Babyshambles, The Liars and Julie Doiron.
Otherwise it's been a terrible year, one of the worst so far.
