Top 10s for 2008: Jacob Holm-Lupo (The Opium Cartel/White Willow)

My favorite 2008's (in no particular order)

01. Finishing The Opium Cartel's 1st album.

02. The financial crisis. Spread the wealth. Eat the rich.

03. M83: Saturday=Youth. The pop song format really suits him, and he does Kate Bush better than Kate Bush these days.

04. That month last summer when my wife and kids split for California and I was left to write songs and drink on the balcony.

05. "Tropic Thunder" - It's a long time since my body ached from too much laughter.

06. Rhys Marsh and The Autumn Ghost: The Fragile State of Inbetween. Norway is happy to have you, Rhys! www.myspace.com/rhysmarsh

07. Having Rachel Haden in my studio.

08. Election night.

09. School of Seven Bells: Alpinism. The hills are alive, man!

10. Walter Becker: Circus Money. Almost better than the Dan.
