Spot on Denmark III in Brussels

The 3rd annual "Spot on Denmark" showcase, as presented by ROSA (The Danish Rock Council), the SPOT festival and MXD (Music Export Denmark), will be happening in Brussels, Belgium on November 26. Acts to be featured include Fagget Fairys, I Got You on Tape, Lucy Love and Prins Nitram. Ja Ja Ja launch night set for November

They missed their intended launch date, but it seem that the folks behind the Ja Ja Ja Nordic clubnights in London have finally got themselves their first showcase at The Lexington on November 19. As for the bands selected to grace the stage at this inaugral event, they were selected by Huw Stephens of Radio 1 Introducing and include a representation from every Scandinavian country except poor Denmark: Kira Kira (Iceland), I Was A King (Norway), TV Off (Finland), Francis (Sweden). Kid Down parts with Burning Heart

Swedish emopop act Kid Down has parted ways with Burning Heart/Epitaph. However, the band aims to record something new by the end of the year and will probably take on a more DIY approach it seems.

Labrador Records says that they'll be releasing vinyl editions of upcoming albums from The Mary Onettes, The Radio Dept. and so on.

Ja Ja Ja Nordic clubnights in London

Roadrunner picks up Takida

I'm surprised it took so long for this to happen: Roadrunner Records has licensed Swedish arena-rockers Takida for international release and will start off by putting "Bury the lies" out in Germany on October 2. It's a perfect fit for their roster as they are Sweden's answer to Nickelback, for better or worse.
