Been meaning to get this written up for over a week now, but I haven't found the time and now that I'm about head out on vacation to Sweden for a couple weeks, I figure I need to get at least something up. New music from The Pain Machinery and other CCP news

Brand new music from Swedish EBM act The Pain Machinery off their forthcoming album "Restart", due out this coming June via Complete Control Productions. In other related news, CCP has also announced that they are assembling a comp called "Inside the volcano" that will gather a number of similar-minded artists who are making new music with "old" influences. In addition to acts already on the label's roster such as The Pain Machinery, Infiltrator, Severe Illusion, Guilt Trip and so on, they've also enlisted a bunch of other great names such as Agent Side Grinder, Portion Control and //TENSE//. MP3: Agent Side Grinder - Sleeping fury

Along with the new Susanne Sundfør, here's another one for my best-of-2012 list. Agent Side Grinder's latest LP "Hardware" builds off everything they've done before and yet again further hones it towards perfection: stronger songs, wider dynamics, more diverse and interesting sounds. More moods too. For example, take "Sleeping fury": it has a swagger that's rare for industrial music, but there's no mistaking the simmering rage underneath. Lead single "Wolf hour" was a straight-up verse/chorus pop song; this is something different and far more sinister.

Swedish industrial act Agent Side Grinder have confirmed that their new album "Hardware", one of my most anticipated releases of 2012, is officially confirmed for release on February 22 via Klangarkivet/Headstomp Productions and will be available on all formats: CD, digital, vinyl and cassette.
